Once you have confirmed that your organization is eligible to participate in the Speakers in the Humanities program, selected a lecture, and you and the Speaker have decided on a mutually agreeable time and date for the presentation, you are ready to complete the application process.
Application: Download and complete one (1) Speakers in the Humanities program Application Form per program request.
Administrative Fees: Fees are based according to the number of events held in a calendar year. Organizations are allowed to host four (4) events per year. First Application : $35.00 Second Application: $50.00 Third Application: $75.00 Fourth Application: $75.00 Mail the completed application, along with the correct administrative fee and proof of your organization's not-for-profit status to: New York Council for the Humanities Speakers in the Humanities 150 Broadway, Suite 1700 New York, NY 10038 Funds will not be awarded to applications:
Notification: Within three (3) weeks of submitting your application, both you and your requested Speaker will be notified of the Council's decision. Please remember that funding is not guaranteed. Speakers in the Humanities is a competitive program, and the Council may not be able to fulfill all requests.
